I wanted to post this because 1. I think it’s very cool and wish I could experience it in the flesh and 2. I want to hear your opinions on how this immersive experience differs (or does it?) from what we currently consider an immersive experience in technology. Just wanna hear your thoughts.

Any blog post about Lord David grants its author an instant A+ times a billion and free Pringles for life.

Does this mean while everyone else is cramming to write their 20 page papers I can sit in the corner and laugh while I stuff my face with buckets of Pringles?

It should, except unfortunately I misread the original post and I gave all these awards to Hypothetical Vamsi. So I guess you’ll have to do the assignments after all. Nonetheless, there is some residual gratitude left in my heart, and I am happy to direct that to you.

It’s like surround sound… but live. I think the difference between this experience and “immersive TECHNOLOGY experiences” is that this one is “real” rather than simulated – you can see and touch (prob not ok to touch) the live human beings singing and playing instruments. When I hear “immersive technology experience” it makes me think that’s only referring to something that’s simulated – which I suppose surround sound does, but in this case since it’s real instruments and singers then for some reason I see it as being different… if that makes any sense. Good ole wikipedia defines Immersive Technology as:
“Immersive technology refers to technology that blurs the line between the physical world and digital or simulated world, thereby creating a sense of immersion.”
I guess the experience of immersive technology is supposed to replicate the real experience that it’s replicating. With that, I would say the experience probably depends on the quality of the immersive technology and how “real” it is.

Hey this is really cool. I was just wondering how this immersion sound effect is reproduced by my earphone (the simple Apple product earpod 5)?
