My question is in response to a curiosity I have about how some posts here draw a lot of attention, while others (even if just as conceptually provocative) receive very little response if any at all. Jeff Bardzell posted on his facebook page recently, “Trolling the HCI community is a great way to pump up your blog stats.”, and this got me to wondering in what ways ‘trolling’ differs from traditional advertising media. So in the spirit of a meta-post, if no one has anything to say about this, I think I’ll try trolling next time…
