In the Dunne & Raby reading this week, Susan Neiman says, “‘Ideals are not measured by whether they conform to reality ; reality is judged by whether it lives up to ideals . Reason’s task is to deny that the claims of experience are final- and to push us to widen the horizon of our experience by providing ideas that experience ought to obey.”

This quote kind of gives a rationale to the direction I may want to take my capstone. Whatever it is that I design in the end, I am thinking of focusing on an experience and that experience doesn’t have to be a “reality”. I guess this is just something for me to keep in mind.
